Currently, when creating surveys, each survey needs to be configured from scratch. In order to simplify this process, we have adopted a template approach, whereby Survey templates can be initially created where much of the configuration is done.
Creating and managing Surveys regularly using these templates is therefore much simpler.
Depending on permissions, when viewing the Culture page, also known as Environment, users will see 2 tabs (if templates is enabled in permissions)
- Surveys
- templates
- The count of surveys will be displayed in the panel
- The count of templates will be displayed in the panel
When selected, the panel will display the existing surveys table, the existing columns and search/filter/sort functionality will be available to the user for each view
Templates
When selected, the panel will display the existing templates table
- The count of templates will be displayed in the panel
by default, they will be sorted in descending order by created date (i.e. latest first)
For each template, the following will be displayed:
- Users will be able to sort each column
- Users will be able to search the table by template name
- Users will be able to filter by type and status
- Users will view the number of displayed templates and the total number of templates
- Users will be able to navigated through pages of templates when pagination is applied
Create Template
When selected the panel will display a new Templates table/wizard:
Next you can choose to Include a bespoke welcome message and change what shows on the start button. Onc you are happy with the welcome the participants will see you can add survey sections.
Add a new section, or multiple sections, in each section you can add questions relevant to each section and choose a response type.
Include any section message that describes what this section is all about
Add questions and choose response type for each:
Add additional questions for this section and any other sections you may add and then hit save.
then hit NEXT
Configure the weighting of sections, this is where you can apply a greater weighting to specific section/s of the Survey (overall must add up to 100%) and hit NEXT
View the Summary and hit SUBMIT to create your template:
Your template is now built and will show in the Templates Table.
You can now create a Survey and choose this template to build it from, creating the Survey follows
a very similar process, going through a build wizard.
Here you can determine who the survey is sent to:
Hit SUBMIT to schedule your Survey, the Survey will show in the Survey Table:
The Survey is editable until launched.
