Throughout the platform under the majority of charts there is an ? icon, this launches pop-out Chart Guides.
The below shows what an "Explain this Chart to me" guide looks like for the Team and Candidate Alignment Chart under:
Team Dynamics > Scores
Overview
This chart shows the candidate and team's scores for each of the 13 values. The higher the score, the more important the factor to that party. The chart serves to illustrate where the similarities and differences lie between the candidate and the team.
NOTE: On-Screen the order of the cultural factors in this interactive chart can be sorted to show what is most important to the team, what is most important to the candidate, or the difference between the two.

- Which aspects of culture are most important to the candidate and by how much relative to the other factors?
- Where is there the most alignment between the team and the candidate?
- Where is there the least alignment between the team and the candidate?
How to interpret this chart
Importance to Team
- If your primary focus is on the team's priorities, then sort the chart by importance to team
- The chart will display the most important factors for the team first, while also showing the candidate's scores for those factors and the difference between the two. The bars shown tell you not just which factors are the most important, but by how much.
- You can see how similar the scores are for both the candidate and the team for each factor, especially when compared with the other factors.
- By looking at the scores for all factors, you get a sense of the range of scores used by each respondent and how to therefore interpret the results. For example, if the candidate has scored every factor highly without much variation between them then the differences can be understood to be nuanced. Whereas if there is a wide range of scores then it shows a high score means much more to them than a low score.
Importance to Candidate
- If your primary focus is on what matters most to the candidate, then you can sort the chart by importance to candidate
- Similar to the above, the results shown will be ordered from high to low but this time using the candidate's scores. Also as above, this tells you not just what matters most to them, but also by how much.
By Difference
- If your primary focus is on where the biggest differences between the two respondents are, then you can sort the chart by difference
- This will order the values by difference, where the candidate score has been subtracted from the team's score
- This can be used to identify where the biggest gaps are between the two parties in terms of the team's culture and the candidate's expectations
- The larger discrepancies between the scores for a factor can be a good place to begin discussions between the two parties about misalignment, although it's also worth checking where the factor ranks in the importance for both parties. A big discrepancy in a low-ranking factor may not be worth focussing on over a moderate discrepancy with a high-ranking factor, for example.
